Timeline

Timeline

An Entity is composed of many transactions and events. A transaction is part of an event. Transactions involve many Actions. The Timeline shows us each item relating to the company. A transaction is electing Directors of Officers. An event could be uploading a Minute Book. Changing an entity type is an Action which becomes a Transaction and will show in the timeline.

The image below shows the Timeline of a brand new entity. You will see that the Timeline now shows a change to the timeline wherein information was added to the Entity Information section. The addition of the Entity Name will be your first step in creating a new entity. By default, your Entity Status will be Active upon creation.

The Timeline provides an overview of the detailed historical account of the Entity you’re working with. Each row (a “Minute”) you see on the Timeline represents an action or actions (collectively, we call these “Transactions”).

From the initial Timeline view, you will see every Minute in the history of the Entity.

In a well maintained MinuteBox Entity, a user should be able to understand the history of the Entity from the Timeline View. Users can also see the status (Live/Draft) of any transactions as well.

The Advanced Transactions Editor

For more advanced users, each Minute can be viewed and edited directly in the Advanced Transactions Editor. We recommend you begin to learn to work with the Timeline once you are very comfortable with working in the Entity Information Summary and other areas of MinuteBox.
